Prime location in Copenhagen - Waterside Holmen a congregation of small islands once home to the Royal Navy base and dockyards. Being used for military barracks originally the property now has been converted for residential use. Brief was an interior consultancy for a newly refurbished semidetached family home for 4 people. Small scale interior project that required a lot of sensitivity and careful curation of the interior elements. The clients, an executive in a multinational company involved in energy management and his wife, who is a keen art admired, paints herself and has a reputable collection of paintings. The design principles for the space revolved around art, hand crafted furniture and careful placement of lighting elements. The ensemble of them subtly accentuating the various zones in the space setting warmed and serenity for its occupants. Project was ultimately communicated in VR for greater flexibility and clear feedback from design decisions. Deliverable included drawings for custom furniture among others.
